Quest Alliance to develop Green ITIs in Karnataka, Assam and Gujarat

Guwahati, Jan 11 (KNN) Quest Alliance, a non-profit organisation has decided to transform country’s three Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) into Green ITIs.
As per reports, the three chosen ITIs by Quest Alliance are Government ITI in Mangalore, Karnataka, Government ITI in Gujarat's Halol and Government ITI Srikona in Assam's Silchar district.
The transformation of the ITIs will be conducted in three levels namely, infrastructure, cognitive and learner vigilance for green careers.
The infrastructural level will revolve around transforming the institute into an environment-friendly campus while attempting to make the ITIs carbon free. Quest Alliance will also put forward a customised plan for the same. The green plan will focus on rainwater harvesting, solar power, waste management and sustainable gardening.
At the cognitive level, students will extract green solutions to manage the local issues. The project will allow students to develop an eco-friendly mindset with the help of several workshops, sensitisation programmes and hackathons. Furthermore, students of green ITIs will be ready for green careers.
The prime motive of Quest Alliance to bring in this new initiative to help students take a step ahead in the green industry. (KNN Bureau)
