SBI cautions public against unauthorised use of SBI logo by some Business Entities/ BCs

New Delhi, Oct 28 (KNN) The State Bank of India (SBI) has cautioned the public against unauthorized use of SBI logo by some business entities and business correspondents, who are unauthorisedly promoting and selling non-SBI financial products under the name, trademark and logo of SBI.

“It has come to our notice that some Business Entities/ Business Correspondents (BCs) are unauthorisedly promoting and selling non-SBI financial products under the Name, Trademark and Logo of State Bank of India, thereby creating a false impression in general and making personal gains,” SBI today said in a press note.

“The Bank hereby warns and cautions such Entities/ BCs to desist from unauthorised use of SBI Logo/Brand to promote their business or else Bank will initiate necessary legal action,” it added.

SBI further cautioned the general public too that neither the Bank nor any of its directors/ officers/ employees are responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever for the consequences of such unauthorised promotion or any loss or damage caused to any person as a result of their dealings with the products not related to the Bank.
