During the Inauguration of the training on Tuesday, Asst Director Ministry of MSME Saheel Alaqband said that this is the first of its kind programme started in the border village with the focus to ensure entrepreneurship development in micro sector.

“As road connectivity remains cut-off from Kashmir valley for majority portion of the year, such entrepreneurship skill development programme will prove helpful in ensuring livelihood for the women while being at home even during winters,” he added.

Alaqband further highlighted that despite hurdles like transportation, electricity etc., the program has been conducted within the village only so that participants are trained properly and also in future other concerned departments may also provide skill development within the village itself.

The concerned departments in the area have been directed by their heads to make comprehensive action plans under Vibrant Village Program to develop the border village.  (KNN Bureau)
