Technology based entrepreneurship programme to promote self-employment

Pune, Dec 19 (KNN)  In an effort to promote self-employment in the state, the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB) and Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) are jointly organising a Technology based Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TEDP) focusing on computer hardware and networking.

The programme which will be conducted free of cost is an initiative under the ministry of Agriculture and Science and Technology, said an official notification.

Training during the five week course will be provided by competent and expert faculty.  

More entrepreneurship development programmes for women, faculties, youth and students are coming up, it said.

NSTEDB is an institutional mechanism, with a broad objective of promoting gainful self-employment amongst the science and technology manpower in the country and to setup knowledge based and innovation driven enterprises.

VAMNICOM focuses on improvement on the decision making skills and administrative competence of practicing managers in the co-operative sector.  (KNN/ST)
