Time for holding of AGM for FY ended on March 31, 2021, being extended by two months

New Delhi, Sept 23 (KNN) Responding to the representations received from industry and trade bodies about the difficulties faced due to second wave of Covid, Ministry  of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has extended time of holding Annual General Meetings (AGM) for the financial year 2020-21 ending on 31st march.

The Office Memo dated 23rd Sept 2021 issued by MCA states, “it has been decided to advise the Registrar of Companies (RoCs) to accord approval for extension of time for a period of two Months beyond the due date by which companies are required to conduct their AGMs for the financial year 2020-21 ended on 31st March 2021”.

Accordingly, Registrars of Companies (ROCs) have been advised to accord approval for extension of time and further asked to take the action with utmost urgency.
