UK Sinha re-appointed as Chairman, SEBI till March 1, 2017

Mumbai, Feb 19 (KNN) Government has re-appointed UK Sinha had the Chairman of Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

Sinha has been re-appointed to the post with effect from February 18, 2016 up to March 1, 2017.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Act, 1992 read with Rule 3 of SEBI Rules 1992, the Central Government has re-appointed U.K. Sinha to the post of Chairman, SEBI with effect from 18.02.2016 to 01.03.2017 or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” according to an official press release.
