UP Govt to start 10 day basic e-course on MSMEs in colleges

Lucknow, April 8 (KNN) The Uttar Pradesh government will introduce a 10 day online course on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in colleges to encourage business development skills in youth.
As per the media reports, the tentative idea will have general certifications besides advance courses in specific areas like food processing, agricultural production, organic farming and mechanical work in subsequent stages.
The MSME and export promotion departments will provide certificates to the participants upon completion of the course.
Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of MSME and export promotion said, “The aim is to empower youth and make them self-reliant so that they don’t just become job-seekers but also looking towards becoming job-creators.”
Apart from the certificate college students will also be provided with exposure visits and bank linkages for loans to translate ideas into action, said Sehgal.
Joint commissioner MSME (exports and Lucknow Zone) Pawan Agarwal said that the certification opportunity will be included in the departmental app called MSME Sarthi. (KNN Bureau)
