Yara launches training programme for Indian agri-entrepreneurs & MSMEs

New Delhi, July 7 (KNN) The Young African Researchers in Agriculture (Yara’s) Africa & Asia business has announced a Training programme in India to support MSME leadership, capacity building and growth in agriculture sector.

It is a part of a broader Social Impact 2030 framework which focuses on food security, community & economic development, MSMEs and agriculture.

The program will focus on training and capacity-building on a broad range of topics including digitization of operations, budgeting, working capital, inventory management, marketing, and growth strategy.

Speaking on the launch of the programme, Subhashini Chandran, Vice President – Social Impact, Africa and Asia at Yara said, “Yara is very happy to be investing in the future of agri-entrepreneurs in India and in other emerging market economies across Africa and Asia.”

Sanjiv Kanwar, Managing Director, Yara India said, “The Yara Leadership Academy’s individual mentoring approach will help MSME business owners to better integrate and apply the knowledge they have gained from the Academy into their businesses while harnessing the power of digital technologies to help them build business resiliency and growth.”

The last date to apply for the programme is July 22, after which interviews will be conducted and later announcement of successful Academy candidates will be made.

Yara’s Leadership Academy is being held in partnership with Kuza Technologies, an Indian social enterprise and United States International University’s Global Agribusiness Management and Entrepreneurship Center.  (KNN Bureau)
