Jabalpur To Host Second Regional Industry Conclave Fostering MSME-Large Industry Collaboration

Jabalpur, Jul 6 (KNN) The state government is preparing to host the second edition of the Regional Industry Conclave in Jabalpur on July 20, with a focus on fostering connections between large industries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Mahakaushal region.

According to Chandramauli Shukla, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), the primary objective is to support local industries and establish links with larger players.

"Strengthening local industries will help in boosting the regional economy and create job opportunities," Shukla stated.

The conclave aims to attract investments in key sectors including defence, food processing, textiles, and minerals. MPIDC has begun extending invitations to industrialists and potential investors across India, emphasising domestic rather than international participation.

Srishti Prajapati, MPIDC Jabalpur Executive Director, highlighted the region's potential, noting, "We have 15 industrial belts and an abundant land bank. We are making presentations to inform investors about investment opportunities in Jabalpur."

The state government's strategy focuses on expanding the vendor base for various sectors and boosting ancillary units in the region.

MPIDC oversees 15 industrial areas in Jabalpur, including Borgaon in Pandhurna district, a food park, and the Maneri industrial area.

Anonymous officials from the industries department indicated that the government's priority is to attract investments to the Mahakaushal region and create a platform for MSMEs, rather than inviting international delegates.

This regional conclave represents an effort to stimulate economic growth and employment opportunities in Jabalpur and its surrounding areas by leveraging local industrial capabilities and attracting domestic investment.
