10 MSME Samsung Technical Schools set up so far; 498 trainees recruited

New Delhi, Apr 19 (KNN) After a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on August 4, 2014 between the MSME Ministry and Samsung, as many as 10 MSME Samsung Technical Schools has been set up across states.

The first MSME Samsung Technical School was inaugurated at MSME Extension Center, CP, New Delhi.

Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra visited the Noida based plant of Samsung where he met Hyun Chil Hong, President and CEO.

Apart from that nine more MSME Samsung Technical Schools has been setup across India in Ahmadabad, Aurangabad, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Varanasi.

After visiting the plant, Mishra tweeted, “Some of the trainees have also started their own enterprises realizing our motto of Berojgar se Swarojgar.”

Till date 1095 trainees were trained out of which 352 have been hired by Samsung and overall 498 trainees who have undergone these training programmes were hired, Mishra added. (KNN Bureau)
