15 new Technology Centres for MSMEs to be established in the country

New Delhi, March 10 (KNN) 15 new Technology Centres are to be established in the country, and the existing Technology Centres are to be upgraded under the Government approved ‘Technology Centre Systems Programme (TCSP)’ to be implemented over a period of 6 years.

The total estimated cost of the programme, including the World Bank Loan assistance of USD 200 million is Rs. 2200 crore. The establishment of new Technology Centres under World Bank assisted TCSP is under progress.

The Programme Steering Committee (PSC) has identified the 9 locations for establishment of new Technology Centres as on date, where the State Governments have offered land and they are; Durg (Chattisgarh), Saha (Ambala, Haryana), Rohtak (Haryana), Baddi (Solan, Himachal Pradesh), Puducherry (Puducherry), Bhiwadi (Alwar, Rajasthan), Bangalore, Gulbarga, Kolar (Karnataka), Imphal (Manipur), Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) and Kathua (Jammu & Kashmir).
