22,000 MSMEs worth Rs 7,018 cr established in Andhra Pradesh in last 2.5 years: FM Rajendranath

Amaravati, Mar 26 (KNN) About 22,000 MSMEs worth Rs 7,018 crore have been set up over the last 32 months in Andhra Pradesh, said Finance Minister, Buggana Rajendranath. 

Replying to a question in Legislative Assembly, he informed that 91 large and mega industrial units with an outlay of 36,303 crore were set up in the state. 

Speaking about the total investment attracted by the government since June 2019, FM Rajendranath said the figure stood at Rs 43,000 crore.

He said that the large and mega industrial units have provided employment to about 56,000 people and in MSME units 1.56 lakh people got employed. 

Further the finance minister said that they have also initiated measures for development of MSME parks and sector specific parks to facilitate the investors set up their shops. 

Andhra Pradesh government has already cleared decks for setting up of two skill development universities and 30 skill colleges to provide handful of training to the youth and make them employable in the local industries, said the Minister. (KNN Bureau)
