27% increase in exits from MSME Udyam portal

New Delhi, Dec 19 (KNN) Total 30597 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) cancelled their registration on Udyam Registration Portal from April 1, 2022 to December 14, 2022, Minister of State for MSME, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma informed on Monday in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.

As per the data shared by the minister, 931 MSMEs cancelled their Udyam registration from July 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021.

While from April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, 24075 MSME annulled their registration.

During the last five years, 1.63 crore MSMEs have been incorporated as per the Udyam registration portal.

The lowest number of MSME registrations were recorded in 2018-19 at 1016723 and the highest is 2021-22 at 2078882.

Further the data revealed that total 4.48 crore number of persons are employed in the MSMEs which are incorporated during last 5 years.  (KNN Bureau)
