86 Proposals for DSR, CFCs discussed in the Steering Committee meet of MSE-CDP

New Delhi, July 29 (KNN) MSME Secretary, Anup K Pujari, chaired 38th meeting of Steering Committee of Micro & Small Enterprises - Cluster Development Program (MSE-CDP) on Tuesday, where in over 86 proposals for Diagnostic Study Report (DSR) Soft intervention and setting of Common Facility Centres (CFCs) were discussed and finalised.
 
The steering committee discussed the proposal for in-principle approval to set up CFCs in - Packaged Beverages Cluster at Guntur Di; Gold & Silver Ornaments Cluster at Guntur District; and Printing Cluster at Tirupati, Chittor District of Andhra Pradesh.
 
According to the Steering Committee report, “Committee may consider the proposal for in-principle approval for setting up of CFC in Packaged Beverages Cluster, Guntur District.”
 
For the CFC in Gold & Silver Ornaments Cluster at Guntur District and Printing Cluster in Tirupati, the report said that the Steering Committee may grant in-principle approval for it.
 
For Assam, the report said, the Steering Committee may approve the proposal for conducting Diagnostic Study in - Readymade Garments Cluster, Nalbari; Dry Fish, Haria Borigaon, Sotoborigaon, Barukata, Ahatguri, Goroimari, GP-Ghagrapara, Dist-Morigaon, Assam; Terracotta/Pottery Cluster, Domnapara, Goalpara; Rubber Processing Cluster, Goalpara, Assam.
 
Meanwhile, the committee said it might approve the proposal for “Final approval for up gradation of infrastructure facilities at Amingaon Export Promotion Industrial Park (EPIP) in Kamrup (Metro) District, Assam at a total cost of Rs.593.20 lakh with GoI assistance of Rs.474.56 lakh and Government of Assam contribution of Rs.118.64 lakh.”
 
For Bihar, the Committee report said, it might approve the proposal for conducting diagnostic study in Tasar Silk Cluster, Kadirganj, Nawada, Bihar by MSME-DI, Patna at a total cost of Rs.1.00 lakh with 100 per cent GoI grant.
Also, “Steering Committee may approve the proposal for Soft Interventions in Agriculture Implements Cluster, Nursarai, Nalanda, Bihar for 18 months at a total cost of Rs.12.25 lakh with GoI grant of Rs.10.29 lakh & the remaining Rs.1.96 lakh to be contributed by cluster units/associations,” the report said.
 
Meanwhile, for Haryana, the Steering Committee said, it might consider the proposal for in-principle approval for setting up of CFC in - Engineering Cluster and Plywood Cluster in Yamunanagar; and Textile Machinery Cluster in Panipat, whereas the committee said it might consider the proposal for sanction of Rs.5.00 lakh for preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) for setting up of CFC in General Engineering Cluster, Rohtak.
 
Also, the proposal is recommended for extension of time duration up to 30.09.2017 for setting up of CFC in Home Furnishing Cluster, Panipat, it said.
Further, for J&K, the Committee said the proposal is recommended for extension of time period up to 31st December 2016 for Rangreth, Kashmir and 31st December 2015 for Khunmoh, Kashmir and Baribrahmana, Samba.
Likewise, the proposals for CFC and DSRs for other states were also discussed in the meeting. The meeting was attended by Secretary, MSME, DC and other senior officials the Ministry. (KNN Bureau)
