New Delhi, Apr 9 (KNN) Inching closer to election dates, India’s two leading parties Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Indian National Congress (INC) have left no stone unturned to woo the every section of society be it business class or non-business class. Both the parties have released their manifestos featuring what they bring to table if voted to power.

As first phase of polls in Uttar Pradesh begins from April 11, 2019, KNN India spoke to few MSME associations from the state on what they think about the promises being made by BJP and Congress.

Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA), Noida
While welcoming the announcements made by BJP in their manifesto or the Sankalp Patra that was released yesterday, President of NEA, Vipin Malhan said that entire nation was eyeing at what BJP will propose as far as Jammu & Kashmir is concerned and by announcing the proposal to eliminate article 370, the party has won millions of hearts.

He also hailed other announcements made for the growth and development of MSMEs and startups.

Malhan stated that all the proposals are positive and good for the health of nation.

On the other hand, he criticized Congress proposal of minimum income scheme of giving Rs 72,000 per year to 20 per cent of the poor in the country.

He stated “The scheme would make the people more handicapped and would take the nation to the path of non-development.”

Instead of this, the party should have announced something that will generate employment opportunities for them and make them independent. Making such announcement of giving doles of Rs 6000 per month not good for the health of nation, he added.

Indian Industries Association (IIA), Lucknow
Giving cold reaction to the proposals announced by BJP in their manifesto, President of IIA Sunil Vaish said “More relief in terms of providing hassle free business environment should have been announced in the manifesto for MSMEs as it was our main demand.”

There is a need to bring ease in regulations as far as small and tiny entrepreneurs are concerned, he added.

Although other announcements made by BJP for MSMEs and startups is appreciable but the move to deregulate the business environment is a need for an hour that BJP missed.

Earlier talking with KNN India, Vaish said “About five to six suggestions that were given by IIA have been incorporated in the Congress manifesto. Suggestions related to de-regulation of SMEs have been especially taken care off.”

Central U.P Chamber of Commerce & Industry Welfare Association, Bareilly
Secretary of Central U.P Chamber of Commerce & Industry Welfare Association, Abhinav Agarwal said whosoever comes to the center, it must come in majority as then only manifesto will be implemented in whole spirit.

Because complete manifesto gets changed after government is formed in coalition, he added.

He stated “Manifestos are always good but how good they are at implementation, is important.”

In Uttar Pradesh, a total of 96 contestants are in fray for eight Lok Sabha seats going for polls in the first phase of the General Election 2019. All 80 Lok Sabha seat of the State are scheduled for polls in seven phases. Eight seats going for polls in the first phase are Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar which will see polling on April 11, 2019. (KNN/YV)
