New Delhi, Oct 16 (KNN)  The MSME Minister has said that he would try to address concerns that the South Asian Free Trade Agreement (SAFTA) was being misused by countries like China by routing their exports to India through Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Union Minister for micro, small and medium enterprises, K H Muniyappa’s assurance was given to industrialists in Ludhiana where he had gone yesterday.

His assurance came ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to China where the Indian delegation is likely to raise the issue of flooding of Chinese goods into the Indian market.

The Prime Minister will pay an official visit to China from October 22 to 24 at the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang. The two leaders will hold discussions on bilateral, regional and global issues with a view to strengthening the partnership between the two countries.  (KNN/PC)
