Alibaba to offer Cloud solutions to Indian SMEs early 2018

New Delhi, Dec 22 (KNN) Eyeing at tapping the Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) segment, the Chinese e-commerce firm Alibaba group is set to launch its cloud computing service in Mumbai early 2018.

The Alibaba cloud service in India is being launched with an aim to meet the emerging demand for cloud computing among the Indian small and Medium Enterprises. Simon Hu, President of the Alibaba Cloud in a press interview informed of the latest development.

He said that a data centre in India will help Alibaba work closely with the Indian enterprises. Also considering the fact that the local units are doing well in terms of growth, Alibaba will help these SMEs on their growth ride by equipping them digitally.

For its operations in India, Alibaba cloud is entering into collaboration with Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) of the Reliance communications and Tata communications to set its foot in the country.

Also the cloud firm will be setting up a team comprising of local professionals and executives in order to ensure a better client firm connect in the country. (KNN/DA)
