AlphaMERS high on success without any funding from the market

New Delhi, 22 August (KNN) A Bengaluru based five year old SME, AlphaMERS, has made continuous profit in the last four years and not taken any funding from the market.
 
The SME, which works in the space of environmental services and new technology development, believes that the right DNA is in place and the company has a bright future in the sunrise sectors of environment and renewable energy. 
 
The Founder Director of AlphaMERS , an Ex merchant navy captain - Sekhar claims that the company has withstood the initial challenges of a typical SME - build revenues, deliver quality while retaining a lean management model, create brand value and do all this in a market, where most contracts are awarded on L1 or lowest bidder basis.
 
Riding high on success, AlphaMERS has managed to invest in in-house design development activities and has file six patent applications in the last one year.
 
These patents are for are designs in combating marine oil spills, harnessing energy from ocean waves and a device in disaster management application.
 
With an upsurge towards environment related issues, the company is currently testing a prototype for a patent applied device to deal with floating debris / trash in rivers and lakes, AlphaMERS has managed to gather many proficient clients that mainly include PSUs and oil companies.
 
In a recent press release by the company, Sekhar, the founder director said, “Entrepreneurship brings out the best in a person”.
 
He was of the view that, every company has to be ready to embrace the most efficient technology and processes available around the world as the world becomes a truly global and networked space.
 
“By having certain in-house capability in design innovation, AlphaMERS is able to press home its advantage of a close connect between Innovation needs, identified from its front end services in spill response services, and the in-house technology development” he added. 
 
AlphaMERS has recently converted to public limited company and announced its plan to list on NSE very shortly. (KNN/ Jyoti)
