Amid COVID-19 outbreak, AAP demands fiscal stimulus for MSMEs, Traders in National Capital from MSME Ministry

New Delhi, Mar 19 (KNN) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has demanded fiscal stimulus for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and traders in the national capital to help them out amid COVID-19 outbreak.  

During a discussion on working of the MSME Ministry in the Upper House of Parliament, AAP leader Sushil Kumar Gupta stated that ''businessmen in Delhi were already affected due to ceiling and demonetisation, and the current outbreak of coronavirus has further impacted them.''

Urging MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari, Gupta said that "I request the minister to support trade and industry players to ensure their units do not shut down due to coronavirus.''

Gupta further said that currently, the government should come forward and provide financial help to protect the industry adding that ''the government should be concerned about the businessmen in the current situation when the entire world is facing economic slowdown due to coronavirus.''
