APIIC sets up MSME park to trigger industrial growth in Anantapur

Anantapur, May 3 (KNN) Setting the stage for industrial development in the backward Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has developed a massive extent of land parcels with complete infrastructure.

In the first phase, MSME park was set up in about 50 acres of land in Kappalabanda village and another 53 acres is being readied for development of industrial park. "We are readying nearly 230 acres of land with comprehensive infrastructure to set up an exclusive industrial park in Tekulodu village," said APIIC managing director Javvadi Subramanyam.

These lands were just around 100 km away from Bengaluru and close to Hyderabad. This is the biggest advantage for prospective industrialists," said Subramanyam.

The land close to National Highways has been readied with power, roads and water facilities to offer to prospective industrialists.

APIIC chairman Mettu Govinda Reddy said, "We have created infrastructure to lure industries to the underdeveloped Anantapur district as per the vision of chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The industrial clusters are going to transform the fortunes of Anantapur district".

He said that they have also identified another 800 acres of land near Tekulodu village and readied plans to acquire the land.

He said that most of the lands were located close to the National Highways as per the requirement of industrialists. "Different land parcels are being readied to set up industrial parks in Sri Satya Sai and Anantapur districts”. (KNN Bureau)
