Artisans to be provided with improved tool kits

The distribution will take place during the inauguration a handicraft gallery here tomorrow, as a part of the project ‘Technology and Skill Mapping of Indian Handicrafts Clusters.’
The tool kits are collection of improvised equipment and techniques which will assure improve performance, build efficiency, ease in operation, comprehensive for all manufacturing process needs, enhancing product quality, enriching product innovation, eliminate fatigue and reduces wastage.
NCDPD was set up with the commitment to help the country’s exporters and artisans to develop their core competencies in the areas of design and product development, promotion and capacity development.
It has the objective to build and create design oriented excellence in the handicraft sector in domestic and international markets and its global competitiveness. (KNN/ST)
