Bhopal, June 3 (KNN)  The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) has organised the ‘8th SMEs Sammelan - Enhancing Capacity for Sustainable Growth’ to be held on June-5 here.

"The prime objective of the 8th SMEs Sammelan is to promote the MSMEs in the state and to discuss the financial issues related to funding on the commencement of new business or at the time of business expansion.  The focus would also be to discuss the current scenario of MSMEs, their concerns and possible solutions in the State of Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, Government's initiatives to promote MSMEs in the State will be on priority in discussion agenda," said Secretary General, ASSOCHAM D S Rawat.

The Indian MSME sector is unparalleled in terms of geographical spread, size, range, inclusivity and innovation. Over the years, many developing countries around the world have benchmarked the Indian MSME sector as the principal model for their own small sector development initiatives.

However, it is also an acknowledged fact that micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) lack incentive to grow.  Too many of them do not grow owing to the fear of losing benefits associated with staying small or medium.

Minister for Commerce and Industries, Government of Madhya Pradesh Kailash Vijayvergia will be the Chief Guest at the Sammelan.

Senior government officials, industry delegates and bankers will also attend the event. (KNN)
