Aurangabad students showcase innovative solutions to the problems of MSMEs at Innovation Camp

Aurangabad, May 7 (KNN) Under industry-academia engagement initiative of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), students who worked closely with Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) over the past 8 months shared their experiences on how they solved problems for MSMEs at Innovate.

During the program, students showcased solutions and proto-types to 100 technical problems identified in over 90 SMEs located in the industrial hubs of Aurangabad, Nashik and Nagpur.

As a part of Indo-German cooperation on promotion of innovation, ‘Innovate to Lead - Innovation Camp’ organized by GIZ with the support of Ministry of MSME was held today at MGM-JNEC Campus, Aurangabad.

The initiative involved student and their mentors working closely with MSMEs to identify complex areas through factory visits and developing solutions to address them.

On the occasion, students from 12 different colleges of Marathwada were felicitated for building innovative solutions for MSMEs located in the industrial hubs of Aurangabad, Nashik and Nagpur.

Addressing the gathering, Project Director of GIZ, Chaman Lal Dhanda stressed on innovation and highlighted ‘how innovation can add a new dimension to existing models’.

The initiative brought together industry and academia on a single platform to create an innovative ecosystem.

The event will showcase solutions and proto-types to 100 technical problems identified in over 90 SMEs located in the industrial hubs of Aurangabad, Nashik and Nagpur.
