Aurangabad students to unveil innovative solutions for MSMEs

Aurangabad, Sep 28 (KNN) Nearly 200 teams from 23 colleges is all set to unveil their innovative solutions developed for issues face by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) on September 30th.

A summit will take place at the Marathwada Auto Cluster, Waluj  aiming to encourage industry-academia collaboration.

MSME innovation summit 2019 is being organised by a German government initiative Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GIZ and Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA).

It is being supported by Ministry of MSMEs, Government of India, under the programme for modernisation and innovation promotion in (MSME INNO). The progarmme also connects various MSMEs, industry associations and academic institutions to boost innovation and improve the sustainability of MSMEs.

''To make aware about the problems of MSMEs to the students of educational institutes, GIZ has been holding such meetings through MASSIA for the last six months,'' said GIZ representatives Tasavvar Ali.

“Some of these solutions developed by students have now reached an advance level where they have set up their manufacturing units. This exercise helps to improve employability and raise entrepreneurs,'' Ali added.

These include 10 colleges from Aurangabad, some colleges from Pune, Nashik and other cities.

Apart from these industry representatives, delegates from ministry of MSME, other government agencies, head of educational institutes, and representatives of successful startups and corporates are expected to mark their presence in the summit.
