Awareness programme on credit schemes for MSMEs being held in Mysuru

Mysuru, Nov 9 (KNN) An awareness programme on various credit schemes of the government for the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector is being held in the city on November 10.

The programme would focus on CGTMSE, CLCSS, Stand up India, Start up India and Mudra Schemes for the MSMEs.

District Industries Center, Mysore; Syndicate Bank, Regional Office, Mysore; Micro Small & Medium Enterprises Council, Mysore and Mysore Industries Association (MIA) representative body of Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagara Districts industries are jointly organizing the awareness programme.

MIA said, “Only 7 % of Micro and Small Manufacturing & Service Enterprises are provided financial assistance from Financial Institutions. The rest have borrowed loans from private money lenders and financial Institutions by paying abnormal interest and penal interest. This is causing heavy hardship for the development of their industries and they are under the clutches of money lenders and struggling for their existence.”

MIA added the programme is being organized in this regard. Officials from banks and MSME department will be present at the event along with the industry representatives.

New and existing entrepreneurs intending for expansion can participate in this programme. (KNN Bureau)
