Awareness programme on support schemes for food processing industries

Mysore, Aug 30 (KNN)  Mysore District Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Association (MDMSMEA) is organising an awareness programme on support schemes for food processing industries here tomorrow.

Other organisations collaborating in the programme are National Mission of Food Processing, Government of India, District Agricultural Department, Horticulture Department, District Industries Centre, and Mysore Industries Association.  
 
While the programme will be inaugurated by Revenue and District In charge Minister, Mysore, V Srinivas Prasad, it will be presided over by President, MIA and Ex-Mayor, MCC, P Vishwanath.
 
The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has a number of schemes for units in the sector. 
 
Among them are the Scheme of Mega Food Park; Scheme of Cold Chain, Value Addition and Preservation Infrastructure; modernization of abattoirs; National Mission- on Food Processing, etc.  (KNN/ES)
