Awareness programme on ZED Certification Scheme being held for Kolkata MSMEs

Kolkata, Feb 7 (KNN) An awareness programme is being held for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Kolkata on Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Certification Scheme.

The programme is being organized by Federation of Small and Medium Industries (FOSMI) and Talbanda Bodai Industries Association on February 10, 2017. It is being supported by industry body Assocham.

The awareness programme aims to create proper awareness amongst MSMEs about ZED Manufacturing and motivate them for assessment of their enterprises for ZED rating.

The programme will help MSMEs to drive manufacturing with adoption of Zero Defect production processes without impacting the environment that is Zero Effect on environment.

It will also encourage MSMEs to constantly upgrade their quality standards in products and processes and support the ‘Make in India’ Campaign.

There would be no participation fee for MSMEs, however, participants must have Udyog Aadhaar Registration Number or EM Part – I or II or VAT Registration Number. (KNN Bureau)
