Bangladesh expresses keen interest in NSIC's Rapid Incubation Centre

New Delhi, Aug 26 (KNN) Bangladesh has expressed its keen interest in rapid incubation centre, promoted by National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), to create opportunities for self-employment.
 
Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra met A Rahman Governor Bangladesh Bank in the national capital on Tuesday to discuss issues related to the MSME Sector.
 
The Minister discussed various issues connected with MSMEs and issues of mutual interest with Rehman.
 
The Bangladesh Bank Governor expressed his keen interest in Rapid Incubation Centre being promoted by NSIC in employment generation.
 
MSME Secretary Anup K Pujari was also present during the meet.
 
Earlier, Mishra had applauded the Rapid incubation programme of NSIC saying it is the right step in transforming unemployment to self-employment by providing support services to unemployed and unskilled persons including training on machines/projects, helping in preparation of project reports, seeking government approvals, facilitating credit from financial institutions, sourcing of technology and providing market support including raw material sourcing etc.
 
The NSIC model of Rapid Incubation has been well-received by many developing countries across the world such as Ethiopia, Burundi, Rwanda, Gambia, Zimbabwe, Egypt, South Africa etc. NSIC has already established Rapid Incubation model at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Bujumbura, Burundi as well as in South Africa, he had said. (KNN Bureau)
