BEE-UNIDO’s Waste Heat Recovery Innovation Challenge open; applications sought from SMEs, others

New Delhi, Jan 18 (KNN) The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) has invited SMEs to participate in the Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) Innovation Challenge.

The challenge is open for SMEs, Entrepreneurs, Companies, Start-ups, Academia and labs in India.

WHR Innovation Challenge is being conducted under the BEE-UNIDO Initiative for Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD).

FLCTD is jointly implemented by BEE and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and is supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).

This 5-year project aims to promote innovation of low-carbon technologies and its deployment in industrial and other related sectors of Indian economy.

Under the project, annual 'Innovation Challenge' competitions are being conducted to identify innovative low carbon technologies and solutions to improve efficient end-use of energy, which in turn will help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the long run.

The project will promote the deployment of winning technologies.

The last date for submitted applications on www.low-carbon-innovation.org is February 18, 2018. (KNN Bureau)
