New Delhi, Aug 20 (KNN) Bengal MSME Conclave 2018 would be inaugurated today by Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee. The theme of the conclave is ‘Destination Bangla’.

The two-day Synergy State MSME Conclave focus is to promote and develop MSMEs in the state.

Since its initiation, the conclave has become a major meeting point for those involved with the micro, small and medium-scale (MSME) enterprises in the country, and of course in Bengal.

Under the stewardship of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the MSME sector has gone ahead to become one of the best in the country.

Bengal has the highest number of MSMEs in the country currently, with 52,69,814 units or 11.62 per cent of the overall number in the country.

The total amount of loans extended to medium enterprises during the 2016-17 fiscal was Rs 5,851 crore.
