BSE SME gets 51st company listed on its platform

Mumbai, Mar 14 (KNN) One more company, R&B Denim, has been listed on the SME platform of BSE Limited, making the total number of companies listed on the platform 51.

Surat based R&B Denim is being promoted by the Rawat Khedia and the Borana groups. Both of these companies have a long lineage of more than 30 years each, in the textile industry.

The Borana group, today, is capable of a weaving output value of more than 1.5 million metres of polyester grey fabrics a month, whereas the Rawat Khedia group has a processing output of more than 5 million metres of premium quality synthetic fabrics per month.

The BSE SME Exchange, the Bombay Stock Exchange's platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs), is witnessing a lot more SMEs listing on the platform these days. This week it crossed the mark of 50 companies listed on the exchange for the small and medium enterprises.

So far, a total of 51 companies have listed on the platform. However, active trading takes place in less than half of the companies listed.

The BSE SME platform was launched in March 2012.

Even the market capitalization of the BSE SME platform this week crossed the range of Rs 5,000 crore. (KNN/SD)
