“Women entrepreneurs residing in the metro cities will get the information and facility to participate in government meetings and rural women entrepreneurs receive no information,” she said.

To be at par, Puranik urged the government to reserve quota for women in districts other than capital cities to be nominated members of MSME board.

She also suggested that every tier 2 city must have ‘Women Entrepreneurs Park’.

Talking about her expectations from union budget in favour of women entrepreneurs, she told KNN that women entrepreneurs should get loan without any security.

“In mudra scheme no banker will give loan without security. It is there on paper but whenever we approach the banks, no banker is ready to give us loan,” she pointed out.

Puranik further urged the government to allot little amount for startups as fund to encourage poor entrepreneurs.

“There are many poor women, who want to start their own business, but due to lack of financial support they are unable to do so,” she said.

Small amount like Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 will be sufficient to start their own micro industry, Puranik said stating that every district must start women entrepreneurs cluster park and incubation centre.  (KNN Bureau)
