Builders Eye Ayodhya Tourism: Conference Planned for Small Businesses

Ayodhya, Jan 6 (KNN) With Ayodhya gearing up for a surge in tourism after the Ram temple inauguration, the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) sees a golden opportunity for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the construction and allied sectors. To explore these prospects, NAREDCO plans a grand builders' conference in the holy city in the coming months.

National President of NAREDCO, G Hari Babu, highlighted the potential for establishing hotels, resorts, and apartments in Ayodhya, emphasising the expected surge in tourist activity in the upcoming months.

"The entire Indian real estate industry wants to look at Ayodhya ...We want to organise a conference in Ayodhya in the coming months in a big way and call a thousand builders there to showcase the commercial and residential opportunities," he stated, as reported by Business Standard.

In anticipation of the upcoming budget, Babu mentioned that NAREDCO has submitted a proposal to the finance ministry.

The proposal seeks to grant "Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) status" to small builders and advocates for the introduction of a scheme benefiting individuals with monthly salaries up to Rs 40,000.

During a press conference earlier, he also announced that the real estate body will be organising its 16th National Convention from 2 February 2024 to 3 February 2024 in the national capital.

The convention, themed "The Changing Real Estate Landscape," aims to gather key stakeholders to delve into the dynamics of growth and transformation within India's real estate sector.
