Captain Pipes joins the BSE SME bandwagon today

Mumbai, Dec 11 (KNN)  Rajkot based Captain Pipes Limited was today listed on the BSE SME platform, taking the total number of companies listed on the bourse to 81.

The company headquartered in Rajkot of Gujarat manufactures and supplies high tensile, high impact, un-plasticised PVC threaded pipes for use as column pipes for submersible pump sets with its accessories, plumbing pipes, fittings, casing pipes, uPVC pipes and agri fittings for potable water.

Market capitalisation of BSE SME listed companies touched Rs 9861.33 crore in trading today.  There were 10 gainers and 16 losers while 9 remained unchanged.

Among the gainers were: Anisha Impex Ltd (13.64 per cent), Encash Entertainment Ltd  (9.96 per cent), Carewell Industries Ltd (9.15 per cent) and RCI Industries and Technologies Ltd (4.49 per cent).

Losers on the other hand included Aanchal Ispat Ltd (-5 per cent), RCL Retail Ltd (-4.83 per cent), RNB Denims (-4.55 per cent) and Edynamics Solutions Limited (-4.36 per cent.)

There has been a lot more activity on the bourse these days with more companies listing.  Other companies that have filed documents and are waiting to be listed include Karnavati Finance Limited, Raghuvansh Agrofarms Limited, O P Chains Limited and Saami Tradestar Logistics Limited.

BSE commenced the SME platform on March 2012 and in over two- year period, BSE has achieved more than 90 per cent market share helping Indian SMEs create a market capitalisation of more than USD 1 billion.  Average IPO size on BSE SME is close to Rs 9 crore per issue. 

BSE SME Platform offers an entrepreneur an investor friendly environment, which enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganized sector scattered throughout India, into a regulated and organized sector.  (KNN/ES)
