CBIC asks FISME to make presentation over decriminalization of certain provisions of GST law

New Delhi, Aug 28 (KNN) In the aftermath of Covid-19 pandemic, to reduce ‘friction in doing business’ and litigation, a comprehensive review of Good and Services (GST) is underway.

In this regard, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has constituted an Advisory Group headed by DG, Directorate General of Service Tax (DGST) where it has asked the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) to make a presentation on the issue of decriminalization of certain provisions of GST law before the Advisory Group on August 30,2020.

In this regard, the MSME body, FISME which 740 MSME associations across the country has requested its members to share suggestions.

''Kindly share your suggestions to amend criminal provisions which are being or can be misused to harass MSMEs,’’ it said.

The suggestions or feedback can be forwarded to sg@fisme.org.in by August 29th, 2020.
