CII, BIS jointly organizing ‘National Conference on Advanced Materials’ for sustainable growth of champion manufacturing industries on Dec 4

New Delhi, Nov 19 (KNN) Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) along with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is organizing first-ever ‘National Conference on Advanced Materials’ for Sustainable Growth of Champion Manufacturing Industries in partnership with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on December 4, 2018.

With the theme ‘Strategic Importance of Evolutionary Materials with Revolutionary Materials’ the  conference would focus on the areas of Composites, Technical Textiles and Rare Earth Materials for various industry sectors.

The objective of the conference is to create domestic industry base for primary processing of core raw materials, improve cost competitiveness and ‘local value add’ of Indian industry.

Also to deliberate upon targeted interventions that can spur investments by public and private industries to create capability and capacity for processing and manufacturing of such key raw materials / key inputs for industries.

The conference is being organized to achieve self-sufficiency and reduce dependence on imports for core raw materials and components required for cost-competitiveness and long-term sustainability of India’s established and growing industries. 

Besides, the conference will also highlight the specific role of all stakeholders - Government, Public & Private industry, R&D Organizations to truly realize the growth potential of the identified Indian industry segments.

The conference is schedule to take place on December 4, 2018 at India Habitat Centre, Silver Oak, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

Dr V.K. Saraswat, Member of NITI Aayog will grace the occasion with his presence.
