CII Global SME Business Summit to be held on 19-20 December 2018 in New Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 13 (KNN) The Ministry of MSME and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing the 15th edition of the CII Global SME Business Summit on 19-20 December 2018 in New Delhi. The theme of the Summit is ‘Building Partnerships through Global Value Chains'.

The event is being organized in association with Government e-marketplace.

The Summit will attempt to create a powerful agenda and bring together renowned speakers with unbounded experience and expertise, a global audience, and various national and international SME stakeholders to integrate Indian MSMEs into the GVCs.

It will be a crucial platform for disseminating knowhow on assessing the export potential of the products and services of Indian MSMEs, identifying suitable markets, developing strategies to penetrate new markets through trade associations, multi-lateral agencies, international business forums and E-Commerce platforms.

This will help the participating Indian MSMEs to single out avenues for joint ventures, franchising, cross-marketing, buyer-seller meets, etc.

Plenary Sessions on   Global Demand for Indian SMEs and Characterizing GVCs; Envisioning the Growth of Indian SMEs through GVCs; Key Enablers to GVCs-Technology Diffusion, Standardization, etc; Trade through E-Commerce; Finance Infrastructure for Indian SMEs; and Understanding the agents of change for Indian SMEs unification with GVCs: Digital Entrepreneurship; Standardisation for SMEs will he held.

Informative and concept based inspirational talks will be held by senior industrialists/disruptive innovators/entrepreneurs, who are leading the way by leveraging technology for the ultimate benefit of MSMEs in India. These sessions are named as Disruptive Innovator’s Voice (DIVE) and are being planned as a single-speaker talk

The points of discussion would be Digitization, Artificial Intelligence on Financial Analysis, 3D Printing, Internet of Things, Trade through E-Commerce, Block Chain and others.

On day two, a workshop will be conducted on International Trade through Trade wings of Embassies and High Commissions at Trade Facilitation Desks; International Trade through E-Commerce; Trade through Government e-Marketplace (GeM); Digital Unlocked; and Opportunities for Indian SMEs in Defence Sector.

Senior representatives from the Central and State Governments (India), High Commissioners, Trade Commissioners and Embassy Officials from various countries and thought leaders from the Industry and think tanks will participate in the event. As many as 450+ participants including 300+ Indian MSMEs and 100+ International participants from 20+ countries are expected to join.
