CII Madurai Zone Hosts Awareness Session On MSME Schemes

Madurai, Jun 20 (KNN) The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Madurai Zone, hosted an informational session on Wednesday aimed at equipping micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with strategies to leverage government programs for maximising growth potential.

J. Jeyaprakash, Convener of the CII's MSME and Manufacturing Panel, opened the proceedings by underscoring the pivotal economic role played by the MSME sector in India.

R.M. Lakshminarayanan, President, Madurai District Tiny and Small Scale Industries Association (MADITSSIA), advocated for streamlining single window clearance processes to ease regulatory hurdles.

Representatives from several official bodies, including the District Industries Centre, Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation, Government e-Marketplace, Trade Receivables Electronic Discounting System, Open Network for Digital Commerce, and Small Industries Development Bank of India, briefed attendees on available funding avenues, tax incentives, and support frameworks specifically geared toward MSMEs.

Approximately 150 MSME companies participated in the event designed to shed light on official growth facilitation measures for this vital business segment.

The proceedings reflected concerted efforts to empower MSMEs through enhanced access to institutional resources and simplification of administrative procedures.
