Daily order value at GeM crosses Rs 426 cr in FY23

New Delhi, Jan 10 (KNN) The government’s e-Market Place (GeM) portal has recorded a jump in the value of average orders placed everyday by 46 per cent to Rs 426 crore in the period between April 2022 and January 3, 2023.

This increase is in comparison to Rs 292 crore per day in FY22, a government official told New Indian Express.

During the fiscal year of 2020-21, the average per day order placed was Rs 69 crore.

“Of the total orders placed, more than 55 per cent of them are through micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and 8 per cent orders are through women-owned MSMEs,” said the official.

Through these women-owned MSMEs orders worth Rs 11,300 crore have been placed in the past three years.  (KNN Bureau)
