DC MSME-GIZ organizing workshop for Incubators in New Delhi on Jan 30; 300 incubators expected to participate

New Delhi, Jan 29 (KNN) A day long consultation workshop for Incubators with a theme ‘Ideas for New India’ is being held in the national capital on January 30, 2020.

The workshop is being organized by the Office of DC MSME with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH or GIZ as its technical partner. It is expected that there will be participation of over 300 incubators in this workshop.

AICTE, MHRD and India SME Forum are also the partners for the event.

Deliberations on topics such as Academia Led Innovation in New Age India, Role of Digital Media in Start-up Promotion, Role of Technology Incubation in strengthening India’s Innovations, Laying the Foundation for an Entrepreneurial India will be made.

These sessions will be addressed by dignitaries including Ram Mohan Mishra, DC MSME, Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, MSME Secretary, Mandeep Kaur, JDC, Ministry of MSME, Chaman Lal, Project Director, MSME INNO, GIZ, Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer; Ministry of HRD, Ashish, MyGov amongst others.

The Office of DC MSME, Ministry of MSME is organizing a national level start-up idea challenge. The challenge, being hosted at MYGOV portal of Government, will run for a month.

During the workshop, a dedicated session on Ideas for New India: Unveiling the Campaign will be held giving details about best practices in Incubation.

There will a session on ‘Executing the Campaign: Collaboration’ elaborating on how the campaign will be implemented across the country and will also detail the role of diverse stakeholders involved in this national challenge.

An incubator is a physical location that provides a defined set of services to individuals or small companies. This may include specific types of office space, flexible lease terms, access to technology, financing, and technical assistance (such as marketing, legal, finance, HR, and other business development services).

Meanwhile, DC MSME runs a scheme "Support for Entrepreneurial and Managerial Development of MSMEs through Incubators". The main objective of the scheme is to promote & support untapped creativity of individual and to promote adoption of latest technologies in manufacturing as well as knowledge based innovative MSMEs (ventures) that seek the validation of their ideas at the proof of concept level.

The scheme also supports engagement with Enablers who will advise such MSMEs in expanding the business by supporting them in design, strategy and execution. The Enablers will play' a pivotal role and would be integral part of the business development. (KNN Bureau)
