Delegation of weavers from AP, Telangana calls upon PM Modi

New Delhi, July 31 (KNN) A delegation of weavers from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana today called on the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The delegation, after meeting PM Modi, thanked him for announcing August 7th as National Handloom Day.
They expressed the happiness of the handloom industry for recent policy initiatives, which they said, would help the handloom industry.
The delegation also gave its suggestions and inputs to the Prime Minister, for the handloom sector.
August 7 commemorates the beginning of Swadeshi Movement in 1905 whereby a movement for promotion of Swadeshi goods was started by Indian freedom fighters during the freedom struggle. (KNN Bureau)
