Delhi CM Announces Rs 49.74 Crore RAMP Push To Support 30,000 MSMEs

New Delhi, Aug 22 (KNN) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the government is working to strengthen the city’s micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) sector by improving access to finance, skills, technology and markets.

She made the remarks while speaking at a Mega Capacity Building Programme organised under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) scheme at Anuvrat Bhawan on Thursday, ANI reported.

The programme, organised by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), was attended by more than 200 MSME entrepreneurs, Industries Minister Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa and senior officials.

Rs 49.74 Crore RAMP Allocation

Gupta said the Centre has approved Rs 49.74 crore for Delhi under RAMP. The scheme aims to provide modern skills and training to more than 30,000 MSMEs by January 2027, while over 10,000 businesses will be connected with digital platforms such as GeM and ONDC to expand their market reach.

She described MSMEs as a key pillar of Delhi’s economy and said the government’s approach was based on four areas — finance, training, technology and markets. She also emphasised that digital adoption had become essential for businesses seeking to remain competitive.

According to the government, Delhi has more than 2.48 lakh startups and 125 unicorns, and efforts are being made to strengthen the city as a major startup and business hub.

Credit Support for MSMEs

Gupta highlighted the Delhi Credit Guarantee Scheme (DCGS), under which eligible micro and small enterprises can access loans of up to Rs 10 crore without collateral, backed by a government credit guarantee of up to 95 per cent.

Since February 1, 2026, 10,505 guarantees worth Rs 4,806 crore have been approved during the current financial year, the government said.

The programme included training sessions, technical presentations on RAMP and DCGS, beneficiary interactions and distribution of sanction letters under the credit guarantee schemes.

Industrial Infrastructure Push

Sirsa said the government had inherited around 12,000 industrial units with significant infrastructure problems. Tenders have now been issued for infrastructure works worth around Rs 500 crore, while projects worth nearly Rs 700 crore are in the pipeline.

The government is also preparing a policy to provide freehold rights for industrial properties, including relocated industrial units. An AI-enabled single-window MSME portal is being developed to simplify approvals and reduce regulatory hurdles.

Plans are also under way for modern exhibition and business centres in Bawana and Narela to help industries reach domestic and international buyers. The government is further reviewing Effluent Treatment Plant standards to promote water reuse and support Yamuna protection.
