Delhi Emporium to allot sale counters for toys, organic products & jewellery

New Delhi, Sept 12 (KNN)  Delhi Emporium’s Bharti, a showcase of the creations of Indian craftsmen, weavers and folk artists is planning to open counters of various other products such as books, toys, organic products and jewellery among others.

In this context, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DSIIDC) has invited offers for allotment of counters for the sale of books, toys and chess; packaged organic products; gold and silver jewellery, precious and semi-precious stones, artificial jewellery, corporate gifts and white metal products, a press notification said.

The allotment will be done on minimum guaranteed sale basis for the period up to March-31, 2016.  The last date for applications is September-25.

DSIIDC has also invited applications for sale of handicraft products of artisans who are states/national awardees or registered with the DC (handicrafts) for items such as sarees, dress material, brass items, leather products, paintings and framing, zardozi and footwear, carpets and curries, woollen shawls and stoles, marble items, bed linen, handmade paper products in addition to gold and silver jewellery and precious and semi precious stones.

Bharti Emporium provides opportunity to the ‘grass-root’ artisans and master craftsmen as well as national and state level awardees to demonstrate their products. It has been vigorously pursuing a policy aimed at providing assistance and protection to the products manufactured by them. (KNN/ES)
