DPIIT Announces Open Video Conferencing Link For Weekly Discussions With Traders

New Delhi, Jul 13 (KNN) The National Traders' Welfare Board (NTWB) held a meeting today to assess the implementation of various welfare schemes and discuss issues affecting traders across India.

The gathering, chaired by Sunil J. Singhi, brought together officials from trade associations, state representatives, and ex-officio members from nine government ministries.

A key development announced during the meeting was the planned introduction of an open video conferencing (VC) link on the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) website.

This initiative aims to facilitate weekly interactions between traders nationwide and the NTWB, providing a platform for discussing retail trade-related concerns.

Singhi reported that representations received from board members and trade associations have been forwarded to the relevant ministries and departments for consideration and action.

He also called upon attendees to offer suggestions for enhancing awareness and expanding the reach of welfare schemes within the retail trade sector.

The meeting underscores the government's efforts to address the needs of the trading community and improve communication channels between traders and policymakers.

The introduction of the VC link is expected to streamline the process of gathering feedback and addressing issues in the retail trade sector.

As the NTWB continues its work, the impact of these initiatives on the welfare of traders and the broader retail landscape remains to be seen.

Further developments are anticipated as the board progresses with its agenda.
