EAC of Jalukie, Nagaland encourages MSME entrepreneurship among youth as govt jobs hits saturation

Dimapur, Mar 19 (KNN) The youth must aspire to take up MSME entrepreneurship or find jobs in private sector as the government sector has hit a saturation point, said Wangan Phom, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC) of Jalulkie, Nagaland.

Phom was speaking at a one-day entrepreneurship awareness programme organised by MSME Development Institute, Dimapur, in association with Business Association of Nagas (BAN) and District Industries Centre (DIC).

Entrepreneurs and students who attended the event discussed PMEGP loan, MSME schemes and aspects of financial literacy.

The programme reflected on business opportunities and success stories.

The functional manager of DIC Peren, Alum Zeliang said that he was looking for innovative projects from the youth applying for PMEGP loan. 

Zeliang suggested business opportunities in Peren district such as chilli achaar, mango jam and ginger processing, bee keeping, production of cattle, poultry feed, organic fertilizers etc.

The awareness programme was held at St. Xavier College in Jalukie town in Peren district. (KNN Bureau)
