Entrepreneurship training on six sigma; export promotion

New Delhi, Apr 22 (KNN) In an effort to equip entrepreneurs with necessary skills to enhance their performance, the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Technology Development Centre (TDC), Agra is offering courses in six sigma; and export promotion, procedure and documentation.

The eight-day entrepreneurship certificate course on six sigma black belt will be held on April 26, 27 and also May 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 in the national city.

Six Sigma is a business strategy that focuses on product and service excellence, to create a culture that demands perfection. The DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control) methodology is the roadmap to achieving this target. It helps organisations achieve optimum business results with minimum resources.

The content of the course covers topics such as history of continuous improvement, value of six sigma foundation, integration of lean and six sigma, lean applications and roles and responsibilities of six sigma.

The project ideas include areas such as sales, information technology, accounting and finance, marketing, customer service, shipping and human resource.

MSME-TDC’s six sigma course is widely attended by multilevel and multi-sectored participants.

Meanwhile, the institute is organising a two-day training programme on export promotion, procedure and documentation on April 26 and 27 in Noida.

The objective of the programme is to present an overview on the different opportunities in the areas relating to export business of casting, forgings and engineering components, said MSME-TDC.

Export from the country requires special documents depending upon the type of product and destination to be exported. The documents not only give details about the product and its destination port but are also used for the purpose of taxation and quality control inspection certification. (KNN/ST)
