FISME delegation to Metalex Thailand for tech-upgrade

New Delhi, Aug 9 (KNN) In order to provide a platform for small units to learn metalworking technologies and acquire knowledge of new machine tools as well as seize business opportunities, the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) will be taking a delegation comprising of representatives from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) to Bangkok.

“The MSME sector is suffering due to slowdown and finding it difficult to compete in the international market. Therefore, FISME is taking a delegation so that it can identify new technology and learn new ways of dealing with competitors,” said the Secretary General of FISME Anil Bhardwaj.

The delegation will be part of Metalex 2013 organised by Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) from November 19-21.

The event will focus on the manufacturing industry involving 2,700 providers of metalworking technologies and machine tools from 50 countries.

Further, it would bring sellers in direct contact with 68,000 regional masterminds and power groups in the manufacturing sector who will share their knowledge.
 
Metalex is ASEAN’s largest international machine tools and metalworking technologies trade exhibition and conference which sets industrial trends in terms of policies, investment and commerce.  

Providing information about the event, Joint Secretary-International Trade of FISME Mukesh Kalra said, “The visit to Metalex 2013 was decided upon as it would benefit all the Indian manufacturing industries, particularly the engineering sector. The exhibition under one roof covers metal components, rubber and plastics products, tools mold, dyes, bearing etc.”  

The promotion will cater to manufacturers, importers, traders and retailers through roadshows with table top opportunity, factory visits, e-Marketing strategies etc.

Under the theme of ‘The Pride of ASEAN’ is an all-under-one-roof technology hub where the visitors expand their horizons while learning, networking, and matchmaking in concurrent knowledge-based conference, forum etc.   (KNN/GUNJ)
