FM Nirmala Sitharaman assures synergy between TN and Centre’s MSME policy

Chennai, May 11 (KNN) Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has assured Tamil Nadu government that a synergy will be maintained between the State and the Centre with regards to MSME policy.
To identify any overlaps and leverage the actionable points the Ministry of Commerce would look at the announcements made by the Tamil Nadu government in a policy paper on MSMEs, she said.
Speaking at an outreach programme on Free Trade Agreements with UAE and Australia in Chennai on Tuesday she called upon the industry to make use of the opportunities offered by the FTAs and build market access and identify joint venture partners.
Addressing the power shortage issue FM Sitharaman stated that to make sure that there is no power shortage everyone should work together.
She further called upon the States to ensure availability of energy from all sources and added that electricity should be available 24 x 7, 365 days a year, quality power with full supply and at a reasonable rate.
The Union Minister also encouraged companies to make investments in environmental consciousness and sustainable systems. (KNN Bureau)
