FMC to felicitate BMOs to promote responsible business practices among MSMEs

New Delhi, Dec 8 (KNN) To encourage Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) to promote responsible business practices among MSMEs, Foundation for MSME Clusters (fmc.org.in) is organizing 5th award competition for BMOs on February 6, 2019 in New Delhi.

The aim of the competition is to inspire MSMEs to adopt different sustainability tools throughout the industrial sector as per the clarion call given by Prime Minister of India along with the concept of “Kaushal Bharat, Zero Effect and Swachh Bharat”.

It further aims to encourage BMOs to promote sustainability linked national agendas and disseminate nationally and globally the good work done by BMOs in promoting responsible business.

Besides, the event will provide a platform to MSMEs to share their concerns with policy makers of India.

BMOs being the most trusted ally of MSMEs are best suited to promote the concept of “Responsible Business” in a balanced manner among millions of MSMEs in India, said FMC.

It said that the good initiatives implemented by some of the BMOs are not known to other BMOs in the country who do not have idea about the benefits of being responsible and the way it further benefits their members.

In order to achieve this objective, it is necessary to promote responsible production among MSMEs which are present in large numbers. Interestingly, a significant proportion of these MSMEs are represented by their industry associations and Chamber of Commerce also called BMO’s, it added.

The competition will be held for BMOs at 3 levels; cluster, district and country/state. There are total 6 awards with two awards at each level and 1 special Jury award, if any BMO found suitable.
