Kolkata, Mar 22 (KNN) Federation of small and medium industries (FOSMI) is organizing an awareness program on ‘Professional Tax’ for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in state.

The aim of the program is to impart proper knowledge among the MSMEs regarding registration, enrolment & tax liability of Professional Tax.

The program will be held on March 27, 2019 in the FOSMI Conference Room commencing from 3:30 pm.

The session will be conducted by Directorate of Profession Tax Headquarters, Beliaghata, Government of West Bengal.

Professional tax is a tax imposed and collected by the State Government, payable by persons and / or employers who are engaged in Professions, Trades, Callings and Employments. (KNN/YV)
